a. Note:   Have 6 children listed for Peter and Mary there were 2 more. Peter came to Licking Co., Ohio with his father in 1815 ( farmer), in 1821 moved near Little Wyandot. Still has descendants in Ohio. _ HISTORY OF CRAWFORD CO, OH 1881_ page 1020 Biographical Sketches PETER LONGWELL, farmer; P.O. Poplar; was born in Hartford, Conn Oct 24, 1810. He came to Ohio in the fall of 1815, with his father,and settled in Licking Co, but after living a few years there, they moved out on thefrontier, and settled near Little Wyandot in 1821. Mr Longwell has avivid recollection of the privations of pioneer life. He remained onthe farm till his 18th year, when he went to millwrighting, and workedat his trade until 1837. In 1836, Mr Longwell rebuilt the Indian millat Wyandot. Mr Longwell is a son of Isaac and Phoebe (Cargall)Longwell . In March 1834, he married Miss Mary Winslow; From thisunion eight children were born --- Emily, Charles, Asbury, Delancy,WIllis and Julia are the names of those still living. Mr Longwelllives on his farm, and, though an old man, he seems several yearsyounger than he is. He is a member of theMethodist Episcopal church,with which he united in 1835. He has taken the Advocate for 41 years.Has been a prominent man of the church, is well informed andconversant with all subjects. Mr Longwell married a second time, Mrs.Joanna (Adney) Winslow, his brother-in-law's widow.
