a. Note:   June 22-23 Edna Geyer attended the celebration of 100 years at the Windham Community Church. It was a very enjoyable time. She got to see friends she hadn't seen in quite awhile.

c. Note:   Edna M. Geyer, 86, of Wellman, Iowa died Tuesday, August 6, 1996 at University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa following a brief illness. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 9, 1996 at the First Baptist Church, Wellman with the Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Burial was in the Wellma Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, August 8 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial has been established for the First Baptist Church and the Wellman Ambulance. Edna was born near Wellman, the daughter of Charles S. and JennieM. (Patterson) Webster. She attended rural Willow Grove School. Edna was united in marriage to Wilbur Geyer on January 25, 1928 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was a homemaker and lived in Wellman since 1959. Edna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellman, served as deaconess for several years and was an active member of the Dorcus Society. She is survived by three sons - Richard and wife Anna May, Iowa City, Iowa; Wayne and wife Shirley, Oxford, Iowa; Raymond and wife Mary, Oxford, Iowa; one daughter - Donna and husband Wayne Wenell, St. Paul, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilbur; one brother - Frank; one sister - Pearl Wagamon; and one great granddaughter - Angela Kemp.
