a. Note:   Eight Children: North English Record; January 23, 1928 Frank Blair Passed Away Monday Morning The town of North English and community were greatly shocked andsaddened, when the news was flashed over the wires from the hospitalat Iowa City Monday morning that Frank Blaid had passed from this lifeinto the great beyond. Some fifteen years ago he began suffering from a disease of the hipjoint for which he has underwent numerous operations and suffereduntold pain. The last four years he has enjoyed fairly good health. He with hisfamily and relatives were living in hopes that perhaps his sufferingfrom that source had ended, but on Tuesday of last week his oldtrouble "as every one thought" began anew. Dr Geiger hastened him to the hospital at once where they werepreparing for an operation, but septicemia had developed and deathcame in a few hours. Frank Blair, son of John and Tennessee Blair, was born September 9,1885 and departed this life January 23, 1928. On December 25, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Carter. To this union were born eight children: Forest and Mable of DesMoines; Mildred, Ralph, Dean,Lynn, Dorothy and Robert Frank at home. He became a member of the Christian Church of North English about tenyears ago; thus showing his faith in Jesus Christ. Being handicaped as he was by being lame, he has been a most energeticyoung man, always ready and willing to work. His whole life has been spent in and around North English. For anumber of years he was in business for himself operating a creamstation and produce house. His ever ready smile and square dealing made him friends by thescores. For the last five years he has been employed by Dr Geiger bywhom he was held in highest respect. His family, mother, sisters and brother feel down deep in their heartsthat they can never repay Dr Geiger by words or deeds for hisfaithfulness to Frank in this last sickness, his kindness andthoughtfulness to them can never, never be forgotten. Frank will be sadly missed by his friends and at his work but theheartaches and lonsomeness will be in his own home where with eyesfilled with tears baby ffeet will patter to the door and look andwatch for daddy==and daddy will come no more. His father, three sisters and one brother have preceded him in death.Besides his family, he leaves to mourn their loss his aged mother, three sisters and one brother. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Christianchurch. The service was conducted by Rev Albert Miller with intermentin North English Cemetery.
