"Lem" as he was always called has been a constant but mostpatient sufferer the greater part of his life. When quite young he wasattacked with an illness that left him badly crippled in one hip jointmaking his walking very difficult. He made his home with his parentsuntil their death since which time he has lived in his home alone. His home being close to his sister Mrs. Ernie Weimer who with herhusband and children have gladly and kindly rendered him assistancewhen ever needed. Handicapped as he was by being a cripple, he was never known tobe idle. Go in his home when you would, you would always find himbusy from early morning until the shades of evening drove him from histasks. Of late years his sense of hearing became so poor that it wasalmost impossible for him to converse with his friends, thus deprivinghim of that pleasure. He has had to suffer tortures of cancer also but with his greatmany afflictions he has born them with great patience, complaining ofnone and no one asked a favor from his hands but what it was willinglygranted.. In passing from his little home, the cheery smile and wave of the handwill be sadly missed. But the memories of them will cling to thosewho knew him through their whole lives and in knowing him and knowingthe pain his frail weak body has undergone, will be a lesson and helpthe rest of us to better carry the burdens allotted our share. It is not for us to know why he had to be deprived of so manypleasures in this life but we know our Heavenly Father does all thingsfor the best and in his care, we give the soul of our beloved friendand brother. He has gone where brilliant rainbows span the sky from shore toshore; to the land of light and beauty; may he rest in peace forevermore. The funeral was held from the home, Monday morning at 11 o'clockconducted by Rev J P Dalton with burial in Clothier cemetery.
