a. Note:   Census Bedford Co, Pa 1790 A land deed signed 12 June 1818 is the only record we have ofWilliam, Sr and wife Sally. In part the deed reads "William Wageman and Sally his wife and Peter Miller and his wife Peggy to Joseph Cripe for thesum of two hundred and eighty dollars" The land is described as 45 acresas part of the northeast quarter S36 T5 R4E. Original Records from the Cincinnati Land Office indicate thefollowing: WAGGAMAN, Wm. 10-21-1805 S36 T5 R4E MILLER, Abraham 11-7-1805 S36 T5 R4E (Note from Ruth 4-8-98) Did Peter receive this same land from Abraham his father pr brother ?? It may be speculative on my part but I think there is a closerelation between Peter and Abraham MILLER I am indebted to John J Inbody of Goshen, IN for supplying me withcopies of these Estate proceedings. (1988) Also for the hoursinvolved in helping me put this family together from Elkhart Co, INand DCO Census Records. William's age is calculated from 1790 & 1800PA and 1820 & 1830 Montgomery Co, OH Census Reports Children and widow "Barbary" named in estate proceedings inElkhart County, IN.. There are two receipts for each heir and the only son who actuallysigned his name was the oldest son and he signed "John Wagemann" Itis signed in what appears to be German script. It is a mystery whyhe is the only one of the family who can write!!. The only ones notsigning with an (x) were Jonas Miller, John Baker and John Kinsey.In the receipt John Baker signed, mentions his wife, Sarah Baker. RHnote Feb,2000
