McManus were brought to Carleton from Detroit Sunday at 12:55 and were met by a large number of relatives and friends and conveyed to his old home in Exeter Township. He died very suddenly while at work Thursday, April 18. He was born in Exeter township October 18, 1865 and where he remained until he was 25 years of age. He was married at the same place to Catherine Steffes 17 years ago. One daughter, Ethel, was born to them. He has been a resident of Detroit for 22 years and one of the most popular and beloved employees of the Solvey Process Co., where he has worked for the past 16 years. The many beautiful floral pieces feebly express the high esteem in which he was held by his fellow laborers. Aside from the bereaved widow and daughter he leaves a father, Owen McManus; six brothers and two sisters: Mike, of Saskatchewan, Canada; John, Patrick, Thomas, and James of Exeter, William of Detroit; Mrs. Brown of Flint; Mrs. Henderson, Exeter. The funeral was held from St. Patrick's church Monday morning and was conducted by Fr.
