Notes
a. Note:   From the 1850 Federal Census of Cape Cinque Homme Township, Perry County, Missouri, page 48-9, taken August 27, 1850, household #273; from ancestry.com, image #39-40 of 162. Nancy is listed in the household of her husband: Ann C. Tucker; age- 45, female, born- Missouri I'm not sure why she is listed as Ann, but I am pretty sure this is her. ================= From the 1860 Federal Census of Saline Township, Perry County, Missouri, taken June 24, 1860, Perryville Post Office, household #169, page 568; from ancestry.com, image #26 of 28: Nancy C. Tucker; age- 54, female, occupation- farmer, real estate- $4,000, personal property- $7,000, born- Missouri Gabriel " ; age- 24, male, occupation- farmer, real estate- $1,500, personal property- $300, born- Missouri Mary Jane " ; age- 23, female, born- Missouri Joseph Griffith; age- 7, male, born- Missouri Sarah A. " ; age- 5, female, born- Missouri Apparently Nancy's husband Josephus has died between 1850 and 1860. Presumably this is the same farm that they were living on. Gabriel is her son and apparently Mary Jane is his wife. The two young children apparently are the children of Gabriel's sister Sarah Ann, who married a Joseph Griffith, but I'm not sure. --------------------------------- From the 1860 Federal Slave Schedule of Saline Township, Perry County, Missouri, taken June 16, 1860, page 2; from ancestry.com, image 2 of 2: Nancy C. Tucker is listed with 9 slaves: 1- 45 year old male mulatto, 1- 36 year old female black, 1- 20 year old male mulatto, 1- 20 year old female mulatto, 1- 19 year old male black, 1- 15 year old female mulatto, 1- 14 year old female black, 1- 9 year old male black, 1- 2 year old male black The oldest 7 slaves seem to be the same ones listed on the 1850 slave schedule.
