Ophelia is listed in the household of her husband: ------ Ophelia; female, age- 45, wife, occupation- keeping house, born- Missouri, parents born- Kentucky ========== From St. Francois County Obituaries, from the Farmington Public Library; found on-line at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mackley/Obit_Surname_Pages/Obit_Surnames_Page_A.htm: May 19, 1900 Mrs. Ophelia Kenner, wife of Mr. Housand Kenner, died Tuesday morning, May 8th, of cancer of the stomach, at the home of her son-in-law, E. W. Greer, one mile west of Farmington, aged 64 years, 5 months and 19 days. Mrs. Kenner had been in poor health for more than a year, and for the last six months failed very rapidly. Mrs. Kenner (nee De Veaull) was born in Ste. Genevieve county, Nov. 19, 1835, and was married to Mr. Kenner July 30, 1851. She was a member and consistent Christian. Besides her bereaved husband, she leaves four children. Mrs. Eliza Sutherland of Farmington, James F. Kenner of Ste. Genevieve county, Dr. E. B. Kenner of St. Louis, now at Dawson City, Alaska, and Mrs. E. W. Greer, at whose home Mrs. Kenner died. They have a large circle of friends in this and Ste. Genevieve counties, who sympathize with them in the great sorrow that had be fallen them. Funeral services were held at the house Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, after which all that was ?? of this good wife and another was laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery.
