Note: I am pretty sure this is my g-g-grandmother Eliza Hill's family in the census records below, but on her death certificate her mother's name was listed as Martha. Hill; son, unmarried, male, age- 22, occupation- shoemaker, born- Northamptonshire, Welton Eliza Hill; daughter, female, age- 11, scholar, born- Northamptonshire, Welton ============== From the 1861 England Census of Welton Parish, Northamptonshire, page 1, household 84: John Hill; head of household, widowed, male, age- 60, occupation- agricultural laborer, born- Welton, Northamptonshire (Next door is a John Hill, age 31, and his wife Mary, age 30. This may be his son, listed as Jesse, or a nephew perhaps. It would seem likely that they are related, but I do not know how. RW)
