Notes
a. Note:   William John Perrin was the second of five children born to his parents, Daniel S. Perrin and Susan Armitage. He was born on April 28, 1875, in Bingham, Huron County, Michigan. He apparently grew up on his parents farm near Au Gres in Bay County. On October 5, 1901, he married Pearl Johnson, in Bay City, Arenac County, Michigan. Four children were born to William John and Pearl: Perry (abt. 1902), Leona (1903), Everett (1905) and Mildred (abt. 1908). I really don't know much about William John. I know he died relatively young at the age of 43 years old. At his marriage in 1901, he was listed as being a blacksmith. In the 1910 census, he was listed as a real estate dealer. In a couple of other records I found, he was apparently an Arenac County Supervisor in 1911. According to his headstone, William John died in 1918. This all seems to indicate he was a prominent member of the community, with a very promising career and life, which was all cut short. He is buried with his wife Pearl and daughter Leona in the Woodmere Cemetery in the City of Standish, Michigan. I believe that they pertain to William John Perrin. They seem to show that he served as some kind of Arenac County supervisor in 1911: ****** Dated January 13, 1911; "Supervisor John Perrin returned Saturday from Standish, where he was in attendance at the county board meeting last week." ****** Dated April 28, 1911; "Supervisor Perrin digs up back taxes. For the past five years the Standard Oil Co. have not paid any personal tax to the township and for some time Mr. Perrin has been using(?) his energies toward trying to get it back into the township. By corresponding with the head officials of the company he has managed to accomplish this and the township will now get what they should have received long ago." ============= William is buried with his wife Pearl and their daughter Leona in the Woodmere Cemetery in the City of Standish, Michigan. The family plot is near to the road. There is a large family headstone with the inscription of Perrin. William's stone reads: Wm John Perrin 1873-1918
