Note: PORT ORANGE - Jane E. Wagner, 82, of Red Tail Drive, a former secretary to the deans at Cazenovia College and Syracuse University both in New York, died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Ms. Wagner came here in 1994 from Pennsylvania. She also was a former secretary at an art gallery in Nokomis, Fla. She owned and operated various retail businesses dealing in lamps and shades. She attended the Church of Christ Scientist and was a member of the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club. She was a graduate of Secretarial Business School in Rochester. Ms. Wagner enjoyed being a private pilot.
Survivors include her companion, Robert Olsen, Port Orange, who also provided for her care; two daughters, Melanie Dale, Kennett Square, Pa., and Michelle Foster, Locke, N.Y.; a sister, Olive Wagner, Rochester; and two grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
