a. Note:   Passed away at the house of Anthony Miller on Waterloo Street. As per 1901 Canadian Census he was living with his son-in-law and daughter Elizabeth. Originally settled in New Hamburg then moved to Tavistock and then Berlin (Kitchener). Settled 17th Line East Zorro Township. Newspaper Entry SUDDEN DEATH OF AGED CITIZEN Jacob Wagner died suddenly at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. A. Miller, Waterloo Street, on Wednesday at the advanced age of 82 years, 10 months and 18 days. Deceased was a native of Germany and came to Canada sixty-five years ago, settling at New Hamburg. There he took his wife Catherine Stellar. Subsequently they moved to Tavistock and from there to Berlin. Seven sons and two daughters survive. They are John and Jacob who live in Michigan; William, of Berlin; Adam, of Waterloo; Mrs. Henry Thiel, of Auburn; Mrs. A. Miller of Berlin and Mrs. S. Cressman, Breslau. The funeral takes place tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., from the residence, of Mr. A. Miller to the G.T.R. station for removal to Tavistock, where the remains will be interred.
