a. Note:   Klaus was a soldier and Russion POW during WWII. Known for his wit Klaus was an entertainer and comedian performing in German clubs and cabarets. He also had roles in a number of movies including One, Two, Three with James Cagney. His IMDB profile is located at this link http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0065486/ . On immigrating to Canada Klaus and his family settled in Kitchener, Ontario near his sister Hilde Breitwieser. He found work as a vet and is described as having had a special relationship with animals. Klaus died in 1971 after his car hit a bridge abutment.
