 Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Wagster Redd, aged 89 years, widow of George M. Redd, died at her home near here Friday morning. She made her home with her son, George L. Redd. Services were held at Hannah's Gap Baptist Church by Rev. H. A. Russell.
 She is survived by two sons, George L. Redd and J. Mike Redd; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Barham and Mrs. Bob Lambert, of Petersburg; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Redd was born and reared at Chestnut Ridge, Bedford County, and had been a member of the Baptist Church seventy-six years. Burial in the Foster Cemetery. Lincoln County News - March 18, 1943
