a. Note:   In searching the Archives for records I came across this death certificate for a child born to William Turner and Stella Carlilse, but unnamed. White, Male. Birth date March 21, 1916 and died March 22, 1916. Birth place was LaGrange, North Carolina. Mother's and Father's birth place was Lenoir County, NC. The infant was buried in Parrott Graveyard, Mosley Hall Township. Death Record, Book 3, page 341. The next entry in this book was Stella CarlilseTurner, white, female, birth date Jan. 22, 1877, birth place Lenoir County, NC. Mother: Sallie Carlilse of Lenoir County, NC, buried in Parrott Graveyard, Mosley Hall Township. Married, occupation: housewife, cause of death: pneumonia, Death date: March, 24, 1916. Death Record, Book 3, page 342 The family has insisted that she was a Pelletier and she is listed on her marriage license as a Pelletier, but all other records have listed her maiden name as Carlilse/Carlisle. It is not known if there were children born of this union. Amy W.
