Note:   Friday-June 1, 1951 Farmville Enterprise Luther Little Dies Suddenly White Fishing (Headline) Michael Luther Little, 63, painter and paper hanger, died of a heart attack while fishing near the Grimesland bridge across Tar River late Sunday afternoon. Little and Ottis Baldree, also of Farmville, were fishing in separate boats. Baldree had left Little and was fishing in another spot. Upon returning late in the afternoon to take Little's boat in tow, Baldree found the painter hanging over the side of the boat with his head submerged in the water. Coroner Griffin H. Rouse ruled that Little had suffered a heart attack and died instantly. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home in Marlboro, conducted by the Rev. L.B. Manning Free Will Baptist minister of Fountain. Interment was in Hollywood Cemetery, Farmville, NC. Surviving are his wife, the former Dessie Wainwright, three sisters, Mrs. Claude Allen of Maury, Mrs. John A. Bauch of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Elmer Fulford of Newport News and one brother, Travis Little, Sr. of Farmville.
