Notes
a. Note:   Nickname "Mittie Sue". (1893) Taken from birth certificate for Charlie Payton Wainright. Book II,page 448,Greene County, NC Wainwright Friday, January 27, 1928, the death angel visited the Home of Mr. Marcellous Wainwright and took from him his loving wife, Mrs. Sue Wainwright. She was sick only a week, although she suffered severly during this time. All was done for her that doctors, nurse and loving hands could do. Some of the saints prayed for her, but all to no avail. God knew best, so He calls her home to dwell with Him. She Was saved and sanctified and we believe she lives for t Lord and did his will. She will be missed in the service. Funeral was conducted by, Bro. E.D. Melton, pastor of the Church of God and her body laid to rest in the Greene County Cemetery to wait the coming of Jesus. A gentle voice said, "Come," And with a sad farewell spoken, She calmly entered home. The world did not value her enough, God called her home. And she is now in the Heavenly choir Around the great white throne. You have left us precious mother, For the land of joy and peace, However, we know we can meet you When the toils of life have ceased. Just a little while to stay here, Just a little while to wait; Just a little more of trouble Then we will meet you at the gate. Now life is very sad from day to day, Not a one in our home is able to pray However, I hope very soon to see the time That I can all truly say, "Jesus is mine." The only request I know of, she gave, Was that her friends and loved ones be saved. God grant her request at any cost, May they all be saved and not one lost. Written by her Neice, Nellie Letchworth and son, Glasgow Wainwright
