a. Note:   linois. Taken from The times Record Thursday Dec.12,1912 Letitia M.Garner was the third daughter of James and Mary Garner. She was born at Huron, Iowa August 5, 1855. In early childhood, she came with her parents to Keithsburg, Illinois and later to Millersburrg, where she grew to womanhood and spent the greater part of her life. She was united in marriage to William Walter Wakeland July 3, 1872 at the M.E. Parsonage in Millersburg the Rev.Thomas Head officiating. To this union was born 10 children, all of whom are living; Charles O.; William E.; Nancy M. Cooper; Walter A.; Harry, Clair and Lawrence (twins) of Millersburg; Archie of Findlay, Illinois; Eva Jackson of Joy and John A. of Monmouth. she had 5 sisters Mrs. Jane Bauguess of New Boston, Mrs. Alice Duncan of East Port Nebraska, deceased; Mrs. Sarah Wakeland of Keithsburg deceased; Mrs. Frances McKinnell, Millersburg' Mrs. Martha Coventry of Findlay, Illinois; also 6 brothers, James A. New Boston; Charles of Winnebago City, Nebraska; Richard of Millersburg and Harry ,Thomas and Lee deceased. Her father departed this life in 1882 and her mother in 1898. She was quiet and retiring in her manner and her earnest endeavors were for the welfare of her family. for several years her health was much impaired, but during her sickness, she was patient, hoping for the best. Her husband will miss her companionship and love; her children will feel the loss of a mothers devotion and care; her brothers and sisters will miss her kindly advice and sympathy; and all near her will regret that she is no more with them here. early in life, she made a profession of her faith in christ and in 1900 became a member of the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints in Millersburg. Her christian experience was a source of much comfort through out her life and in her sickness and when the end came she was ready for the welcome which awaited her. Funeral services were held from the Latter Day Saints Church in Millersburg, Dec.12, 1912, Elder O.E. Sade Officiating assisted by Elder M.D. Murdock. Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Millersburg.
