Continued:   Frank Eugene Wakeland, son of Charles and Nancy Stone wakeland was born in Millersburg, Illinois July 2, 1858 and passed away at his home in Moline ,wednesday Sept. 25,1929 at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 23 days. He left Millersburg in 1879 and went to Missouri . On June 30,1880 he was united in marriage to Mary Alice Williams in Eagleville, Mo. To this union 10 children were born; Charles who died at the age of 10 months; Mrs. Myrtle Dellitt of Reynolds; John B. of Indianapolis, In.; Mrs. Lillie M. Hollopeter of Aledo; Mrs Nettie Boney of Reynolds; Joseph E. of Muscatine; Albert of Aledo ; Mrs. Pearl M.Peters of Rock Island; Walter I. of Moline; and Mrs. Margaret Buchanan of Moline. Besides the wife and children, he leaves two brothers Walter and Isaac of Millersburg; two sisters Marilla Morgan of fort Wayne, Indiana and Mrs. Nettie Harris of Rock Island; also 20 grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. He had been in failing health the last few years, although his last illness was only of five days duration. He was a kind father, a loving husband and a friend to everyone. Funeral services were held Sat.. Sept. 28 at 1:00pm in the Presbyterian Church, Millersburg, Rev. G.L.McNiven officiating. Burial was in the Oak ridge Cemetery, Millersburg.
