Note: Turner had Diabetes and died from its complications. He and Niantia were first cousins. The Last Will and testament of Turner R. Wakeland I Turner R. Wakeland on this the 26, day of December, in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine, do will that my property and effects should be divided and disposed of in the following manner: First: That all just debts and demands against me be paid and satisfied. Secondly:I do will and bequeath all the property, money or effects of my estate that remain after all the just demands against me are paid and satisfied to Niantia Wakeland, my wife, excepting $120.00 to be divided and dispersed amongst my children, as follows, provided they live with Niantia, my wife and their mother until they are of age.That Abner A Wakeland my oldest son at the age of 21 years have $25.00.That Preston D Wakeland my second son at the age of 21 years have $24.00, that my third son have $23.00 at the age of21,that Permelia H Wakeland,my oldest daughter have $22.00 at the age of 18 years and that $26.00, which is the balance of the $120.00 be given to Rhuhama S.my second daughter and youngest child at the age of 18 years. If any of the above named heirs,should depart this life before they come of age, their share or shares as above named, shall be equally divided amongst the other heirs as they become of age. I further will and bequeath that all the property and effects of my estate at the decision of Nianta, my wife, be equally divided amongst my heirs, who are the above named. Hugh Wells and Caroline B Wells, who being by me duly sworn upon their oaths disposed and said that Turner R Wakeland signed publishes and declares the written instrument of writing as his last will and testament on the date mentioned above that he was at that time of sound mind and that they subscribe that the will was written in their presence.
