Note: Artical in the Dixon telegraph Dated 1-4-1929 Workman killed by falling tree on Lowden farm Crushed by a falling tree on former Governor Frank O. Lowden's Sinnissippi farm. Harry Wakenight, 52 yrs. old of Oregon, was instantly killed at 4:45 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Floyd Wakenight, young son of victim, witnessed his father's death. Wakenight, who was clearing timber on the Lowden farm, stumbled as he rushed from the path of a falling tree. The heavy timber broke his neck. Peter Weeberg of Oregon, Wakenight, and his son, Floyd composed a crew which has been at work on the Lowden farm timber this winter. Wakenight was born at Mt. Morris 52 years ago. He resided in Oregon 15 years, in which time he has labored at various jobs. Surviving are the widow and five young children.
