Note: Stanley Dusing was one of thirty-four charter members of t he Improved Order of Red Men, Catoctin Tribe, No.139, of Wolfsville, MD instituted June 2, 1902. It is a men's club like the Eagles or the Elks, Moose, Owls Club. There is a Redmen's Club in Frederick as Chippewa Tribe but there are no indians there - maybe it came from the little boy's cowboys and indian days and you know many men never grow up STANLEY WEBSTER DUSING MT. MORRIS TIMES 10-14-1965 Stanley Webster Dusing, 81, of Dixon, father of Donald T. Dusing , Mt. Morris, Died Sunday, Nov. 22nd in KSB Hospital, Dixon following a short illness. He was born March 9th, 1883 in Myersville, MD. He was united in marriage with the former Blanche Green and moved to IL in 1917 where he farmed in the Mt. Morris area for many years . To this union were born four sons, Waynard and Eugene of Rockford, Marlow of Dixon, and Donald of Mt. Morris, all of whom survived, and a daughter, Mabel who preceded him in death. His wife died in 1937. Mr. Dusing moved to Dixon in 1943 and in 1951 was united in marriage to Edna Wakenight. To this union a daughter, Margaret, was born who also survives. Survivors include his widow, four sons, one daughter, 15 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Emmert Shepley of Fredrick MD., also survives. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24th at Chapel Hill in Dixon and internment was made at Mt. Zion cemetery near Oregon.
