Issuded 15 August 1828 Isaac Rowland entered 400 acres of Land in Wake County on the drains of Middle Creek, joining the lines of Matthew R. Turner & others Isaac's Will: Leaves to wife, Sarah,all his lands on south side of Terrible Creek, "the canals to be considered the creek through the plantation". To daughter,Harriet H. Blanchard all my lands on the north side of Terrible Creek located as follows: "Beginning at the Atkin Road in Terrible Creek running up Terrible Creek to Wm. H. Rowland's corner to Julius R. McLean's corner thence east with said McLean's line to Renchalls Branch thence down the meanders of said branch to a dam across an old run thence with the old run around to the canal thence with the canal to the beginning in creek at Atkin Road." Also states that if his wife dies before his grandson, Isaac H. Rowland **(this would be son of John Marshall) becomes of age, then her land is to be rented out and the proceeds go towards Isaac's education. If Isaac lives to be 21, then he gets all of the land that had been "loaned" to wife, Sarah. If Isaac dies before 21, then the land is to begiven to "my 2 daughters Mary A. McLean and Harriet H. Blanchard." Proceeds from sale of rest of his things to be divided equally between his 2 daughters, and "my son Wm. H. Rowland" Executor: A.J. Blanchard will written: 10 Oct 1884 Isaac Rowland is found as a Justice of the Peace and is listed on many area marriage certificates.
