Oct 31, 1761 Land grant for 700 acres by Earl of Granville in Johnston Co "on both sides of Turrable Creek including his own improvement for Complement" appears to be signed by Nathan Rowland witnessed by Thomas? Hunter; Note: this area became Wake Co in 1771 (grant gives him 12 months to return a survey and complete the grant haven't found record that it ever happened but suspect that it did.)

1780 Nathaniel Rowland from State of NC Grant #1722 393 acres on the south side of Turrible Creek, joining William Rowland and the various courses of said creek Wake Co (this would be next to the grant to Wm above) 29 March 1780 Grant Book 31, p. 291
