Notes
a. Note:   Barb, After doing a little checking, I believe that there is enough information to add Julia Whittaker, daughter of Thomas William Whittaker and the second Malissa, to the family tree. After looking at the picture that Darlene Golden posted with Julie Whittaker in it, I am estimating her birth date at about 1886, between Martha and Max Whittaker. And since she is not on the 1900 census, which shows that the second Malissa had 5 children deceased, one of them being Charles "Peetie" Whittaker, I think that Julia was also one of the deceased children, meaning that she died before 1900. Alice's mom had a Julia listed on her genealogy notes beside some of the stuff she wrote down about Thomas William Whittaker, so this would also be an indication that she had heard about Julia Whittaker, but wasn't sure where to put her. You also mentioned that there was a Julia Whittaker married to a John Rubb. I don't have anything about that. I believe that there was also a Julia listed on one of the census's that you posted that was on the Thomas Whittaker, brother of Telemachus, households??? It might be worth while checking dates to see if it is possible for that Julia to be the one married to John Rubb, or if this one could possibly be the one since it is a reasonable estimate that she was born in 1886. Dave Probably buried at Whittaker Cemetery in an unmarked grave. (My guess: Barbara Whittaker Brown, Nov. 2005) This is in reference to the photo of Martha Ann, Susan Belle, Julie and Peete (Charles) Whittaker. I can help a little here. These are all brother & sisters. Peetie was a nickname given to him by his father. His dad said he was wild like their mule - Pete - and so the name stayed with him. His real name was Charles, born Oct. 11, 1891. He only lived a short time - died Oct. 14, 1898 and is buried in the Whittaker Cemetery. This would date the picture over a hundred years old - I'm guessing it was taken about 1896. I can not identify Julie, though. It may also have been a nickname or possibly a child that I don't have listed. Her name appears in my mother-in-laws notes though. Thomas produced a large family!!!(Source David Martoz)
