Note: nformation taken from "THE WISEMANS", 2nd Edition, 1992, B.W. Venable Diannah (Anna, Dianner) was born in 1814 in Estill County, Kentucky. Abner and Isabell's eighth child and third girl. She married Squire Barnes on 10/15, 1835. Squire is a given name, not a title. They were still living in Estill County, with two boys and a girl under five years of age in 1840. By 1850 they had left Kentucky. Squire was in Scott. County, Illinois in 1850 but, with a different wife and a new family, the child being born in 1841. (I, Bill Lamb, do not agree with the preceeding sentence. I have Squire in the 1850 Census in Davis Iowa with two children, The Squire in Illinois is too young being born in 1819) What. became of Diannah and her three children? I do not, know. By 1852 Squire and his new family had moved across the Mississippi and had joined the Culbersons and his brother Moses in Davis County Iowa, on the Missouri border. They were gone from Iowa by 1860. 1840 CENSUS, Estill County, Kentucky, Roll 109, pg 67 Squire Barnes, Males 20-30: 1, under 5: 2, Females: 20-30: 1, under 5: 1 1850 Census Fabius, Davis, Iowa 30 Sep 1850 Roll M432_182 Page 286 Image 555 Family 25 Squire Barns age 38 Male birth Kentucky Thomas Barns age 13 Male birth Kentucky Talitha J Barnes age 12 Female birth Kentucky 1860; Census Place: , Sullivan, Missouri; 21 Aug 1860, Roll: M653_658; Page: 767; Image: 211; Family History Library Film: 803658, Family 1009 Head: Squire Barnes age 48, M, birth Kentucky, Farmer
