Note: es Brunk Heinemann Robert Daniel, son of William Daniel Jr, born and bap 08 Jun 1709, died 1781 (Parish Register of Christ church, Middlesex Co, VA. By the Colonial Daines (F232-M6-C5). He married Elizageth Carter in MIddlesex Co., 21 Apr 1731 (Parish Register of Christ church, Middlesex Co, VA. By the Colonial Daines (F232-M6-C5) page 157). He died either later in 1780 or early in 1781, from the date his will was probated. He was a merchant at Urbanna in Middlesex Co., VA, associated with his son William Daniel, and his nephew James Daniel. Not only in his marrige to Elizabeth Carter of record in the Parish Register, but the will of her brother, John Carter, dated 24 Jan 1741 in Middlesex Co, refers to his brother Robert Daniel and his sister Elizaheth Daniel, John Carter's widow, Mary Carter, married Curtis Hardee in Middlesex Co., VA. 23 Nov 1745. Robert Daniel's will was made 26 Dec 1780, proved 26 Feb 1781 (Recorded in Bk 14 P 434, Middlesex Co., VA), making his death between those dates. The will appears to have been made out in his own handwriting. In the name of God, Amen, I Robert Daniel of the County of Middlesex and Parish of Christ Church, being in sound sense and memory, but weak in body, so make this my last will and Testament in manner and form hereafter mentioned. FIRST: I give unto my son William Daniel and his heirs, one shilling and no more of my Estate. ITEM: I give unto my grandson, John Daniel, one shilling and no more of my Estate. ITEM: I give unto my son Christopher Daniel all my household goods and stock in case my daughter Mary Stamper or her heir should not return, but in case she should return or her heir, then half the aforsaid household goods to he given to the said Mary Stamper or her heir. ITEM: I give unto my son Robert Daniel, all my land and plantation with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and likewise my negro woman, Susany, to him and his heirs forever. ITEM: I lend unto my loving wife, Elizaeth Daniel all my Estate that is before mentioned during her natural life. ITEM: I constitute and appoint my loving wife, Elizageth Daniel and my son, Robert Daniel, executors to this my last will and testament, revoking all other wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of Dec 1780. Robert Daniel (Signed, Sealed and Delivered in presence of Robet Daniel, Robert McTyre) At a court held for Middlesex Co. at the Court House in Urbanna on Monday the 6th day of Feb 1781; This last will and testament of Robert Daniel, deceased, was this day presented in Court by Robert Daniel, one of the executos therein named who made oath according to law ans the same was proved by the oaths of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Executor, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate in due form, he gibing security wheeupon he with Robert McTyre, his security, entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of thirty thousand pounds with condition according to law with leage for Elizaheth Daniel the other Exeutor to qualify.
