Note: [Walcutt 1.FTW] James A, Walcutt, 83, Angola, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998 at Carlin Park Health care Center, Angola Mr. Walcutt was born Feb. 8, 1914, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Ardie and Betty ( Riley ) Walcutt. He married Mary Book on Feb. 14, 1937. She survives. He owned Jim Walcutt's Body Shop for 15 years and had lived in Angola for 52 years. He had also worked for Nickle Plate Railroad and was a member of Angola Christian Church and the Ashley Masonic Lodge. Surviving with his wife are three sons Jack of Huntertown, James of Churubusco and Jerry of Angola; three daughters, Judy Oliver of Fort Wayne and Sue Alford and Melanie Pardue, both of Angola; a sister, Martha Esper of Fort Wayne; 18 grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother, Arthur Walcutt; a sister< Ethel Shoe; a stepbrother, Dean Jump: and a stepsister, Jean Gaskill Services are at 11 a.m. today at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, the Rev. James Butler officiating. Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola. Herald Republican 1/29/1998.
