Major was living in Talbot Co., GA in 1830. Rev. Green Berry Waldrop was an older brother. Green Berry visited his brother, Major, in Harris Co., GA before 1840. Both men were sons of Benjamin Waldrop of Laurens and Spartanburg Co., SC. Benjamin is thought to be the son of John Waldrop of Provos Creek, Spartanburg Co., SC.[DNA of descendants of Major and descendants of Green Berry does NOT match. CW] ********** DNA tests conducted in 2007 prove conclusively that Major and Greenberry Waldrop were not brothers. Greenberry's DNA does not match any of the early Waldrops. He may have been adopted. Those same tests also show Major and Daniel were brothers. Type: RNote: Major is on a list as lucky drawer of lot 73, Section 2, District 2 in 1827 Georgia Lottery.
