a. Note:   poke strictly German, though the censuses (1910, 1920, and 1930) seem to suggest otherwise, as she's listed as being able to read and write in English. The 1930 census says her mother tongue was French, so go figure. She also was known as Marie (or Mary) Elizabeth Hans. Elizabeth is buried with her husband at Saint Stanislaus in Lansdale, though there is no gravestone marker for her. Info from Pat Mahoney states that on 14 December 1900 Elizabeth and her family recieved $5000 dollars from the Philadelphia and Reading Railway Company following the accident that occured that killed Florian. Elizabeth recieved $1500 and each of the children recived $600. two years after Florian's death, Elizabeth moved to a house in Souderton. Stayed there for about three years then moved to Philadelphia to live with her daughter Lizzie and family. In 1910, she was living in Philadelphia, Ward 25 with Mary, Ernest, Elizabeth and Clara.
