Notes
a. Note:   ladelphia, as they were living on Miller Street. They moved to Lansdale around 1915 and lived for a time with Edward's brother, Ernest, in a farm house. The boys and their families shared the house with Edward's mother, Elizabeth, and sisters Clara and Lizzie. They remained there until the house on Lansdale Avenue was finished. This house would become their home. Their first rental payment on the house was fifteen dollars. Edward would take the train once a month to Trenton, New Jersey to make each payment until they bought the house. He loved trains, and worked on the rail lines as a telegraph operator until his death. He was almost killed in a train accident as a young man, but do not know the date as to when that was.
