IRENE SHEMWELL www.kentuckynewera.com Friday, October 21, 2005 ELKTON -- Irene Shemwell, 100, Elkton, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Hearthstone Place, Elkton, of natural causes. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Latham Funeral Home, Elkton, with the Revs. James Bush and Bart Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A native of Todd County, she was born Dec. 14, 1904, the daughter of the late Reno and Annie Cora Harris Mallory. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence United Methodist Church. Her husband, Lawrence Shemwell, died in 1953. Survivors include a brother, Richard Mallory; a sister, Clyo Violette, both of Elkton. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund, 698 Starns Rd., Elkton, Ky. 42220. Friday evening, 21 October 2005, visitation was held at Latham Funeral Home.
