Cassie was very much loved by her Grand children. She was a wiz at baking, taking many prizes at shows, and we all loved the special biscuits she made. Visiting her home in fourth street Cleve was always a joy, we looked forward to it each time. She did not get on well with Gwen, it seems they were too much alike and the other girls were more favoured. Mum taught me patience and long suffering. She was good with money and knew how to budget well. This however, did not pass on to me. I think she leanred this from being in the situation at her home with her Mum. Darrel Hayward
