Note: The 7th.son,he was born at Pt.Broughton.His early years were spent in the Pt.Broughton area,as he lived at Garfield Farm,and attended Garfield School.Cecil farmed on his father's farm,and in 1924 met his future wife Evelyn,whom he married at the Kadina Methodist Church,in 1928.They lived on the "outback" farm,Pt.Broughton.Depression years took this couple to Tickera and Laura,where cecil left farming and joined the Highways Derpt. This position took him all over the state,and he became assistant foreman on roads.He was rejected by the R.A.A.F. during wartime,so shifted to Edwardstown,and worked at FinsburyHe was a packer at the Government Public Store.He retired in 1971.Activities which kept him interested were his love of gardening,and his church.He was an Anglican church warden of St.Francis of Assisi,at Edwardstown for years,and was held in high esteem as their longest serving church warden.
