By 1847 they lived in Park Village West in suburban London. 1848 left London for USA.May 1848 saw them in Wisconsin on 120 acres. They then moved to Mill Creek, Washington County, Kansas. ( 1860 census) 15th. March 1864 they arrived in Aust. on St. magnus a Bremen Barque - Jurgen Hake (Master)Sailed from New York 14th. Nov. 1863. He died at "Hillside", Dowlingville was buried in Anglican "Christ Church" cemetery, Kapunda.
 Arrived in SA from Victoria.

 William Whittaker M Maria dowling 24 July 1847 at St. Pancras Church, London, England. They sailed on the " Margaret Evans" 14th February 1848. William aged 35 Farmer Maria aged 34. "Margaret Evans" was probably a cargo ship as they carried only 8 parrengers.
 Rev. GPDowling's will was proved in London June 6th. 1847, administration of the the will would take about 4-5 weeks, with the wedding being soon after.
