a. Note:   From Pedigree in book ' Journeys Through Essex' by Thomas Wright, which also mentions wife as Jane Guy and names the two children Guy and John Walford. Student of Emmanuel College, Cambridge: M.A ( Master of Arts ) and that of a Doctor of Physic and practiced afterwards at Finchingfield. Purchased Whitley 1657 and Har test Hall in 1670. He married Jane Guy, and had issue two sons, Guy and John; the former died at the age of thirteen years, the latter when an infant.
