Notes
a. Note:   Jonathon Sprague married Lydia Leavitt, born in 1691, daughter of Israel and Lydia [Jackson] Leavitt of Hingham. He went with his father to Providence, and later settled in the south part of Bridgewater, where his children were all born. He died Apr. 10, 1756, age 69, and his gravestone bears the information that he "was the grandson of William Sprague, who emigrated to this country and arrived in Salem in 1628." His aged widow died, we presume, Aug. 31, 1781. - Nathan Edson and His Descendants
