Notes
a. Note:   Film #: 451126 email to FH Committee of WALF, 9 June 2005: Hi All, In 1860, a 17 year old teacher named Lucy Leavitt living in the house of David Fry caught my eye. - Grantham1860p14 This house is located in the lower left quadrant. It is just above the Howe of "Howe Hill". I believe that this Lucy is Lucy Ann Leavitt who is the daughter of Stephen(Census1850p10) and Clarrissa Abbott. It makes sense that she is not at home as her father died in 1850. David Frye's mother was Mary Leavitt who was the daughter of Nathaniel and Lydia Sanborn Leavitt. I have included the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census. In 1850 and 1860, David is with his first wife, Lydia Leavitt who was the daughter of Dudley and Hannah Prescott Leavitt. Joseph, there are children listed in the 1850 and 1860 census that are not in your data base. In 1870, David is with his second wife(as Lydia had died in 1869), Lois Leavitt who is the sister of Lydia. In 1860 and 1870, David's brother John who was a ships carpenter was living with him. I believe David's son, David B. Frye was a Civil War Soldier in Company E, 1st Heavy Artillery Regiment, NH. Bob Hackett
