Notes
a. Note:   Birthdate Variable: 27 Sep 1801 She was baptized and endowed in life. Also a proxy baptism date associated with her of 21 Jan 1928. She and her mother and several brothers and sisters migrated to Illinois about 1837 and settled in Twelve Mile Grove. The 1924 Leavitt family history states "In 1837 they mvoed to the United States as a colony of emigrants led by Mr. Franklin Chamberlain, if we are well informed." See also Church almanac references, as given in the notes for her oldest brother Weir Leavitt. Regarding Flavilla Chamberlain: I don't think that there is child by this name for Franklin & Rebecca Chamberlain. Evidence: 1850 Cook Co., Illinois census, pg 5b N. township - Flavilla should appear as a 5yr old child and she is not there. Henry, aged 7, is the youngest child listed. Of course, she could have died but in the Sealing to Parents, Salt Lake Temple, FHL # 1239630, item 2 there is a careful listing of Franklin & Rebecca's children. The list includes and is noted as dying as a child - James Adams Chamberlain b. 1830. If they were noting children who died young - why not Flavilla? Note: Henry K. is not on this list. Finally, study of the archive family group record shows that Flavilla was added to this family in 1965 by someone different than the original submitter.
