Text:   Good Morning Joseph, Thank you so much for your prompt response. Peter Freeman ( Freeman, Smith, and other allied Families, also a rootsweb site) has posted the same information as your site re: Caleb Howe and Silence Hutchins. Genealogy research does get confusing when there are so many generations using the same names over and over again. If you have any more information on 'my' Caleb Howe, b. 1753, I would be happy to hear from you. I know that his wife's name was Esther but have not found a family name. Now, on another smaller matter. I have the book "Descendants of Thomas Dakin of Concord, Mass." by Albert H. Dakin, published in 1948. I have checked out Rebecca Perry (a descendant of Abial Leavitt), and in my book she married Simon Dakin (you have Simeon). He was born in Concord, MA Jan. 27, 1721. The ancestors of Rebecca, as you have them in your tree, do match with the information given in my reference. If you do not have access to this book I would be happy to do lookups for you. I was unable to locate your list of references on your website to see if you had used the Dakin book. I think that the large number of people now living in North America that can trace their ancestors back to the 1600's on this continent will find out that they have a family connection somewhere. It has been very enjoyable to find some of these relatives on the internet no matter how distant the connection. Thanks again for your time. It really is "all about family". Regards, Melanie Dakin Nix (my father's parents were: Charles Tupper Dakin and Maggie May Howe)
