WALKER, 63, Of Memphis, retired owner and operator of Dixie Magnavox Television after 39 years, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery Mid-town. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Central Church. He leaves his wife, Bettye Walker; two daughters, Mrs. Deborah Bruce of St. Augustine Beach, Fla. and Mrs. Terri Hodge of Hixson, TN.; two sons, Bill Walker, Jr. of Hixson and David Walker of Memphis; a sister, Mrs Kathryne Lewis of Mt. Pleasant, Miss; five brothers, Walter Walker and Granville Walker, both of Memphis, Clarence Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Miss.; Pete Walker of Denver and Rev. Bobby Walker of Vicksburg, Miss and a grandchild. NOTES: Bill Walker served on board the USS Pasadena for four years during World War II a Forward Turret Chief and was honorably discharged in 1946 as a GM/2c with many honors and commendations. _____________________ MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MEMPHIS COMMERCIAL APPEAL Mr. and Mrs. Billy Walker are pictured after their marriage Nov. 20 at the parsonage of the Taylor Memorial Church. Mrs. Walker is the former Barbara Griffin, Daughter of Leroy Griffin of the Catalyst Plant. the couple spent a short honeymoon at Pickwick Lake. They now live at 3650 Douglas.
