Note: He graduated from Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, Tx, then attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Tx for about I year before enlisting in Army Air Force. He was a turret gunner on B-29 bombers, but also played in Army Air Force Band. He returned to Southwestern, completing his Music Degree in 1949. Subsequently he earned Master of Music degree at University of Oklahoma. He become band director at Mission, Tx in 1955 and then at Edinburg,Tx where he remained until his death in a motorcyle-automobile accident on the parking lot at Edinburg High School.
