Note: M. Grace Walker Nov. 16, 1901 - July 17, 2002 SYRACUSE M. Grace Walker, 100, of Syracuse, formerly of South Bend, died Wednesday in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Henkler of Osceola; and three sons, Howard of Gallatin, Tenn., John of Fort Wayne and Edgar of Cromwell, Ind. Services will be at 11 a.m. S aturday in Albright United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, and one hour before services Saturday in the church. SB Trib. Grace Walker, 100, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 8:15 a.m. Wednesda y, July 17, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse. Mrs. Walker was formerly of Northside Boulevard, South Bend, Ind. She was born Nov. 16, 1901, in Baroda, Mich., to William and Mary (Armstrong) Brown, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. On Feb. 14, 1922, in South Bend, she married H. Ray Walker, who died Dec. 17, 1983. Mrs. Walker is survived by her children, Mary (George) Henkler of Osceola, Ind., Howard (Chris) Walker of Gallatin, Tenn., John (Pat) Walker of Fo rt Wayne, Ind., and Edgar (Mary) Walker of Cromwell, Ind. She was preced ed in death by a son, Garfield Walker, who died in 1999. However, his wif e, Yvonne, survives. Mrs. Walker also has 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grand children and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, Ind ., where she served as past president of the United Methodist Women. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Albright United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. Friends w ill be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chap el North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, and one hour prior to the ser vices in the church.
