C. Walker, 80 Dies of Illness --------------------------------------------------- Resident here 43 Years Succumbs at Home A resident of Mishawaka for 43 years, Raleigh C. Walker Sr. aged 80 of 4 10 West Grove Street, died at 8 p.m. Friday in his home. He had been ill for the last six months. Mr. Walker was born June 28, 1865, in Hancock County, Indiana, and moved here from Whitley County, Indiana. He Married Miss Idessa Moore in Wabash, Ind., Aug. 6,1899. Mr. Walker died in the same house he had lived since coming to Mishawaka. Surviving are his widow, Seven sons, H. Ray Walker And Lewis C. Walker of South Bend; Rev. Raleigh C. Walker Jr. of Wolcottville, Ind.; Herbert K. Walker of Van Wert, O.; Robert E. Walker of Los Angles, Calf., Carl W. Walker of Mishawaka, and Don P. Walker at home, four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lehr and Mrs. Donnabelle Rickert, of Osceola, this county; Mrs Doris Wisler of Wakarusa, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Drake of Mishawaka; one brother Samuel B. Walker, of Indianapolis, and three sisters, Mrs. Mellie Studley and Mrs. Margaret Pallard, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Sadie Cliff, of West Virginia. Mr Walker had been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Pendelton, Ind. for the last 55 years. The South Bend Tribune May 4, 1946
