Note:   1870: Living with maternal grandmother, Nancy Personett, mother died 1880: Living with Maternal Grandmother, Nancy Personett -------------------------------------------------------- Pendleton Times September 16, 1937 FORMER PENDLETON MAN COMMITS SUICIDE Using a rope halter for a noose, Grant Walker, age seventy-four, a farmer, hanged himself late Tuesday in a barn on the Edward farms, Johnson road and Seventy-Fifth street, Indianapolis. He was found by Emerson Howell, R.R. 14, Box 162, Indianapolis, who went to the barn to get a wheat drill. Walker´s daughter, Mrs. Helen Draga; her husband, Frank and Walker´s son Jesse were notified. They said he had threatened to end his life. He is brother of Nellie Studley, Margaret Pollard, Sadie Clift, Samuel B. and Clinton Walker, and is an uncle of our fellow citizen, J.H. Walker. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Harry Moor undertaking parlors. Four grandchildren also survive. Mr. Walker was a member of the C.M. B. class of the Third Christian Church and the Modern Woodmen Lodge. The two organizations will have charge of funeral services.
