Fogarty, 17 Kirkland Ave, May 16, 1953, after a long illness. Mrs. Barker was born in Utica in 1864, a daughter of Martin and Jane Walker. She moved with her parents to a farm in Middle Settlement at an early age. In 1883 she married James R. Birge of Middle Settlement. He died in 1900. In 1921 she became the wife of Jay Barker, a long-time resident of Clinton. He died in 1926. Mrs. Barker attended the Episcopal Church. She leaves the daughter, Mrs. Fogarty, two grandchildren, Mrs. Doris Cronk, Johnston, R.I., and Lt. Col M. B. Fogarty, U.S. Army; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2 pm tomorrow from the home of her daughter, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
