George Mills died at his home, 512 Hasbrouck St., at 4 a.m. today.Surviving are (*)his widow; four sons, PFC Henry Mills, Missouri, Clifford Mills, Brooklyn, Lawrence Mills, Norwood, and Jerry Mills, Ogdensburg; one daughter, Mrs. Eldon Haskin, Hull, Que.; one brother, Bert Mills, Ogdensburg; and one sister Mrs. Estace Johnson, Ogdensburg. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, arrangements by Lalonde Funeral Home. Same paper George Mills Dies at Home George Mills died at home, 512 Hasbrouck St., at 4 a.m. today. He was born Nov. 18, 1884 in Ogdensburg, son of John and Anna Scott Mills. He attended the Ogdensburg Schools. For a number of years Mr. Mills owned and operated a milk route in this city. He was for some time employed by the city of Ogdensburg and also worked for the Aluminum Company of America at its Massena plant. On Aug. 12, 1904 he married Miss Josephine Lalonde at the Notre Dame Rectory. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Surviving are (same as * above). BURIAL: Wednesday, 16 Aug 1944 - Mills Service to be Held Friday Funeral Services for George Mills will be held at his home, 512Hasbrouck St., at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon and at 2 in St. John'sEpiscopal Church. The Rev. Clyde Joudry of Gouverneur will officiate.Burial will be in the Ogdensburg Cemetery. BURIAL: Friday, 18 Aug 1944 - Services for George Mills Held Funeral Services for George Mills who died Tuesday were held from his late home at 512 Hasbrouck St. this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 from St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial was made in Ogdensburg Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Joudry of Gouverneur officiating. Bearers were Frank Arno, Clarence Berry, Stanley Marshall and Richard Larock. The rites were well attended and there were many floral offerings. BURIAL: Lot 23, South Section BIOGRAPHY: George's nickname was "Scratchy".
