McGhee's company at Marietta, Lawrence County, Alabama for a period of twelve months. He was a private in Company K, of the 27th Reg't Alabama Infantry. This card also states that he appears on the Company Muster Roll for July and August of 1863. Last paid: by Col. Hughs, to what time: July 31, 1862. Present or absent: Deserted March 4 near Hillsborough. A second card states that he appears on the Company Muster Roll for September and October of 1863. Last paid: by Col Hughs to July 31 1862 and the he deserted from Hillsborough Alabama 1863. The third card says that he appears on a Roll of Prisoners of War at Camp Douglas, Ill, and was sent to Vicksburg to be exchanged. Roll dated headquarter Camp Douglas, Chicago September 4, 1862.
