a. Continued:   He was about 5'8", black hair, blue-grey eyes. His right leg had been crippled with childhood polio and he walked with a pronounced limp. He used a cane most of his life. When this writer was a child, all my cousins and I used to spend a lot of time with the SEAHORN grandparents. Once we were sitting around a fireplace and he asked us what we would like to be when we grew up. He was getting the usual answers of "fireman", etc. When he got to me, I said that I just wanted to be able to sit in a chair and put my feet on the floor. He got up, lifted me out of the straight chair I was sitting on, took the chair outside. When he returned, he had sawed the legs off the chair! He always swore that my first word was "Popeye" which is what I called him for years. I guess I had tried to say "Papa".
