Notes
a. Continued:   He came back to Alabama from Arkansas with his mother and his brother, George, when he was about 14. Lord knows how they made that trip! The rest of the family apparently stayed in Arkansas. Papa Seahorn never knew that he had a lot of aunts and uncles. He sincerely believed that Hugh, George and "Aunt Fronie" were the only children of his grandparents. Hugh shot and killed Richard BERRYMAN at the reception following the marriage of Annie BERRYMAN and Samuel SEAHORN. No charges were brought. BERRYMAN was drunk and apparently abusive. He tried to follow Hugh SEAHORN into his locked house. I know very little about this man. Nobody in the family ever talked about him much.
